Scattered thunderstorms may be locally strong with heavy rain and quick gusts of wind before settling down later tonight. Lows will fall into the mid and upper 70s, but certain areas impacted by rain may be temporarily cooler. For Wednesday, the effects of the persistent upper high will decrease a bit, leaving the region with a slightly more favorable pattern for afternoon and evening showers and storms. Highs will still manage to reach the mid 90s. Additional areas of rain and thunder are likely as the week concludes with more unsettledness reaching the region.
