MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- The increase in moisture from the Gulf isn't ending yet. As low pressure nears the local area, we expect even greater numbers of storms to develop in the region. For Wednesday, morning lows are forecast to range in the low to mid 70s inland, with upper 70s along the Big Bend coast. Advancing into the afternoon, daytime highs are still expected to surpass 90, but they'll likely stay in the lower 90s as persistent cloud cover and early afternoon showers and storms will help to limit the temperatures. Rain coverage for Wednesday is around 60%.
For Thursday, there isn't much change, with more rain expected (70% coverage) and highs struggling to reach 90 degrees. The rain coverage heading into the weekend will range in the 50-60% coverage and daytime highs are forecast to be in the lower 90s.
Forecaster Melanie Steinberg will have your local forecast in the morning on WTXL Sunrise, starting at 5 a.m.
