MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

Numerous showers and embedded thunderstorms are in place around the Panhandle and tristate regions, with additional areas of rain and thunder rumbles developing eastward along the state line.  These are forming ahead of a second cold front that will usher in a drier air mass starting Wednesday morning, which will drastically lower rain chances for the remainder of the week.  Temperatures are likely to remain above average through midweek, but then fall back closer to seasonal averages for the end of the week.  Tonight, showers and storms will begin to diminish before sunrise, as lows fall to the lower 70s.  With additional sunshine, highs will still be able to reach the lower 90s, but morning minimum temps for the rest of the week will easily dip into the 60s, while highs climb only to the 80s despite a good deal of sunshine.
