MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Spotty showers and thunder roam through the region late today, mainly moving from southwest to northeast, and not likely to spark widespread storminess later tonight. Brief heavy rain and active lightning may occur, along with isolated cases of wind gusts. Clouds will partially break overnight and high amounts of moisture remain. Patchy fog is possible with lows in the mid 70s. Sunshine mixed with clouds will be enough to warm progressively in the morning, with peak temps in the low to mid 90s. The highest coverage of rain and storms Wednesday will be in the western half of the region, near the Apalachicola and Chattahoochee rivers, with slightly less coverage along the I-75 corridor. Later in the week, a modest high-pressure system will attempt to suppress the daily rain cycle, and help to increase afternoon temps a bit.
