MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

We are preparing for a huge blast of purely Arctic, bitter-cold air later this week ... but today featured bright sunshine and warming conditions.  A window of time between now and late tomorrow will remain near seasonal averages with limited thin clouds.  Lows will dip into the upper 30s to low 40s with light winds.  We'll keep a good deal of sunshine Wednesday before the strong cold front arrives.  It'll remain dry, so rain chances are zero, but winds will increase late in the day after temps peak near 60°, then tumble quickly with the rush of cold air.  Thursday morning lows will be in the 20s across the area, with feels-like temps plunging in the teens with the blustery wind flow.  Highs will struggle to climb into the 40s Thursday afternoon.  Only slow warming is forecast into the weekend with additional clouds and slight chances for rain by Sunday.
