MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Clouds will remain in place for the evening, with some light showers to develop from west to east late tonight through most of the early-morning hours of Tuesday. The same system that's producing accumulating snow in the mid-South is triggering a cold snap for us, just without the major wintry precipitation. Showers will refocus in eastern and coastal zones Tuesday daylight hours, with a possible extra surge of showers moving toward the region late tomorrow. A second front will support a further decline in temperature level for the rest of the week. Readings will be their mildest in the morning, with 60s, then falling into the 50s by sunrise for most western and northern areas, then falling temps for the eastern Big Bend after dawn. Afternoon temps may drop into the 40s for southern Georgia. Lingering clouds with the second front will combine with the cold air surge to produce lows in the 30s Wednesday morning ... then reinforced cold air masses may cause highs to stay in the 40s by Thursday afternoon.
