MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
High pressure will maintain its presence over the near the region for a few more days to come. However, we won't necessarily keep the same drier, seasonable temperature trends. Mornings have actually been falling below average, but a repeat of that feat will become less likely over the next couple of days. There's still a chance for cooler readings overnight as long as the sky remains clear, and the winds go light to calm. Mid 60s are possible in the south Georgia interior, but closer to 70° for lows at the coast. We'll see temps climb back into the hotter mid 90s as winds will remain light, and eventually transition to a southwest pattern. This will increase moisture and mugginess in the days ahead, but rain chances remain scant thanks to reinforcing upper-level high pressure by the end of the week. A few flirtations withy 100° are possible before the early part of next week.
