MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- The rain has come and gone, and after some morning clouds, Thursday will feature a nice start to a sunny period that will last through the beginning of the weekend.

Thursday: After a brief period of mostly cloudy skies with a very slim chance at seeing an early morning shower, expect sunny skies to emerge. This is due to a ridge of high pressure that will be in place for the next few days. Expect highs to be in the lower 80s after a start in the lower 60s.

The Beach and Boating forecast is below, along with your Thursday Tide Times.

Friday: The cooler and drier winds resulting from high pressure will allow for a clear sky on Friday morning. This will help keep lows a bit chilly, with numbers in the mid to upper 50s. Expect highs in the mid to upper 80s with mainly sunny skies.

Saturday: Temperatures will warm up for both the morning and afternoon. Expect lows in the lower 60s and highs in the lower 90s. Skies will be mostly sunny.

Sunday into Monday: More warmth and humidity will move into the region as high pressure moves east, allowing the influence of a nearby front to increase cloud cover. Expect lows to be around 70° with highs in the lower 90s. Rain coverage will be spotty (< 20% Sunday) to isolated (20% Monday) as we end Memorial Day weekend.

Tuesday into Wednesday: A nearby front may help increase more cloud cover and moisture. This may help to form a few more showers and storms, with coverage at 30%. Expect morning lows in the lower 70s and highs near 90°.
