TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) -- Most of the area stays dry today, but with more sunshine comes more heat. Temps starting off this morning in the upper 60s but we'll quickly climb into the afternoon and peak in the mid 90s--about 5° hotter than we saw on Wednesday. The high pressure system that will be allowing for mostly dry conditions today will be weakening and allow for rain chances to creep back up to end your work week and into the weekend as well. Scattered storms pick up Friday evening, but not before temps soar back into the mid 90s. By Saturday and Sunday, temps settle back to near normal in the low 90s but rain chances remain high. The wet, muggy, and hot conditions persist into next week as well.
