TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - Most of today will be quiet until a cold front edges into the area late in the day prompting a few isolated to scattered showers and storms for our north and western communities. A couple embedded storms could be on the strong side with high winds the main concern. As the system moves closer to our area, expect widespread showers and storms for the final day of the work week. Some of those storms could, again, be on the strong to severe side with high winds and flooding being the main threats, however an isolated spin-up tornado can't be ruled out. Temps will be in the low to mid 80s today ahead of the rainfall before backing off to the upper 70s tomorrow and Saturday. The first half of Saturday looks like we could see some lingering showers as the main line pushes through. Expect skies to slowly clear throughout Saturday with temps dropping overnight to Sunday to near 50°. Highs will range from the mid 70s to near 80° through next midweek.
