MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- A cold front from the far north, continues to drift to our south, and no rain is expected this morning and afternoon. Lingering energy behind the front will support some cloud cover this afternoon and evening, however. In terms of temperatures, afternoon highs are forecast to jump to the lower to mid 60s. Winds will be breezy today, with a persistent north wind up to 15 mph, making it feel even cooler.
Friday morning is forecast to be very chilly with lows at or just above freezing inland, with mid to upper 30s along the Gulf coast. Highs on Friday will struggle to rise, only reaching the lower to mid 50s.
Saturday morning will be the coldest morning of the period with winds calming, alllowing most of the region to see freezing numbers (higher likelihood for inland sections while the Gulf coast will get close to that mark as well). Highs on Saturday will still linger in the upper 50s, with a general warm-up expected to occur on Sunday.
Sunday highs are forecast to be in the upper 60s after starting off the morning near 40 degrees.
Monday through Wednesday will feature even more warmth, with our next chances of rain occurring during this period.
