MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- Low pressure that is contributing to numerous amounts of severe storms for the South, gets closer to the local area Thursday into Friday. We'll start to feel some indirect effects of the low, with more rain anticipated for Friday.

Thursday: Dry air this morning will limit the amount of fog formation with only isolated spots seeing thin fog. Temperatures in the morning will be in the 50s. Daytime highs are forecast to climb to the mid and upper 80s, with partly cloudy skies.

Late, after sunset, the approaching front may bring some of our western counties some rain (30% coverage LATE).

There are outlooks out by the Severe Prediction Center (SPC) for the potential of Severe Weather. More information is below:

Friday: The cold front, carried by strong low pressure, will pass our area on Friday morning/afternoon. Widespread rain is expected, with a gradual weakening trend as the system pushes east of Tallahassee. Rain coverage is expected to be generous, with 70% coverage. Thunderstorms are possible, with a slim chance of a strong storm or two. Lows will be in the 60s, with highs expected to be in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Sunshine will before the end of the day.

Saturday and Sunday: Clear skies are anticipated for most of the weekend, with only a few clouds developing through this period. Lows are forecast to be in the mid 50s, with highs in the mid 80s.

Monday: Weather conditions will start off mild and quiet on Monday, with lows in the 60s. Expect conditions to deteriorate through the afternoon, with a new developing storm system expected to track through the southeast. Rain coverage is expected to be at 60% or greater. Strong storms appear possible at this time.

Tuesday into Wednesday: The storm system will pass our area, with a few morning showers possible. It should dry out nicely for Tuesday afternoon with highs in the lower 80s. Morning lows on Wednesday are forecast to be in the upper 50s, with highs back above 80°.
