MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- Today is the final day of significant heat over our area, as Friday marks the day when we see a cold front push through. Beyond that front, lows of 40 degrees are possible.
Thursday highs will be enhanced by a warm air mass and generally sunny conditions, which will allow temperatures to jump to the upper 80s. Lows into Friday morning are forecast to be in the lower 60s.
Friday may feature a stray shower and/or thunderstorm as a cold front moves in from the northwest. There will be a period of enhanced cloudiness Friday, followed by breezy winds from the north. That will help limit daytime highs to the lower 80s. Lows into Saturday are forecast to fall to near 50°.
Saturday into Sunday, the influence of the cooler air will limit highs to the mid 70s and morning lows to the upper 40s! Keep the jacket handy for the weekend.
A slight warming trend will move in after next Monday.
