MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- We will be experiencing a warm-up as we enter the weekend. The arctic high pressure system responsible for this wintry pattern will continue to push to the east and that will allow winds to come out of the east. For now, winds will be near calm throughout the day and highs will reach the mid 60s. Lows for tonight/Friday morning will still be cold (in the mid 30s) but a freeze is not expected. Into the weekend, highs will be in the 70s and lows rise back up to near 50 degrees as winds pull from the east and then southeast as a new cold front out west approaches. That change will allow moisture to return and rain coverage is forecast to be high with nearly 70% coverage.  The rain chances last into Tuesday before temps take a dip again late next week. This next temperature drop isn't forecast to be as intense as this current one, but nonetheless, these swings in temperatures will continue with more frequency as we venture close to Winter.
