TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - A few early showers for the Suwannee Valley and North-Central Florida with everyone experiencing soupy conditions in the low to mid 70s. Temps climb into the mid 90s this afternoon with heat index values getting above 100° again. Scattered storms are expected this afternoon and evening with a few high winds possible as well. Temps will be in the low 90s through Saturday before falling to the mid to upper 80s on Sunday courtesy of widespread rain and storms expected as a cold front digs into the Deep South and shoves this heat dome farther south. On the back side of that cold front, more typical late June and early July conditions return with temps in the low 90s and overnight temps dipping into the low 70s.
