TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - Not as chilly this morning with temps ranging from the upper 30s to low 50s. A few showers moving in from the west are allowing temps to be much milder around the Tri-state region. We'll top off much warmer than the past couple days around 70°. A strong storm system moves in along the Gulf shoreline overnight which will boost rain chances region-wide. Some of the embedded storms could be on the strong to severe side, especially to our south and western areas, including the Big Bend coastline. High winds and even an isolated, spin-up tornado are possible. This will impact the first part of Friday before we clear off and cool down significantly as the cold front edges by. Temps will range from the mid 50s to mid 60s. By Saturday morning, a brisk breeze will factor in with temps in the upper 30s and wind chills, or feels-like temps, in the 20s. Expect temps to not even reach 50° in the afternoon with persistent overcast skies. A lot sunnier, and quieter to end the weekend with freezing temps in the morning and highs skimming 60°. We're near freezing to start off the work week, but winds turn from the Gulf bringing in more warmth so we'll approach 70° Monday and Tuesday afternoon before the rain threat moves back into the picture midweek.
