MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- A mainly dry pattern continues today and you may have noticed more heat gathering in the afternoon on Wednesday. This warmth will continue to stay with us as high pressure stays in control over the southeast. Morning lows will find it hard to fall below 60 degrees through the weekend. Daytime highs today and Friday are forecast to jump to the mid 80s all across the board and in some spots, upper 80s. For rainfall, coverage is forecast to return by Saturday and Sunday as a weak front approaches the region by then. For both days, rain coverage will be sparse (at 20% coverage or less).

The above average trend will last from today to next week as high pressure stubbornly sticks over the southeastern U.S.
