Storm Team Thursday morning forecast (07/28/2016)

MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- We are still expecting quiet conditions with hot temperatures, only interrupted by stray showers and storms. As long as the high pressure system persists over our region, we will continue to see a 20% coverage and that is expected to last through Saturday. High temperatures today through Saturday are forecast to be in the upper 90s with heat index values near 105°.

By next week, the high pressure system is expected to weaken somewhat, allowing a frontal system to increase the rain threat to a more seasonable chance at (30-40%), though temperatures are still forecast to be in the mid 90s (above average).
