MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- High pressure over the southeast U.S. is still well in control, and that is allowing the air to stay dry and the skies to stay clear. With this clearing, temperatures during the day will be able to rise quickly, with Thursday numbers expected to reach the low to mid 90s. Rain coverage is at zero percent as the dry air mass overhead limits clouds from developing enough to produce rain. Overnight lows moving into Friday morning are expected to drop to the upper 60s as the dry air will allow the region to cool quickly (especially in smaller towns).
Friday into Sunday, much of the same is expected, with the exception of more moisture coming in from the southeast. That moisture will limit overnight lows to the lower 70s, but afternoon highs are still expected to be slightly above average. RaIn coverage is forecast to be minimal (at or less than 20% from Friday through Sunday.)
