MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- The much-needed rain last night is continuing to push away, with the overall weather pattern transitioning back to a seasonal one, with chilly air returning for the AM hours this weekend.
High pressure is continuing to move in from the northwest, allowing dry and cool air to work in from the north. Temperatures will respond with daytime highs near 70 degrees. For a point of reference, morning lows for the last couple of days have hovered around 70 degrees! The dry air will allow for clearer skies, which will help our temperatures quickly plummet to near 40 degrees into Friday morning. Some spots can see the upper 30s.
Friday and Saturday will be similar in terms of the temperature spread with lows near 40 degrees and highs around 70 degrees. Clouds will become more prominent as the dry winds from the north, turn from the east by Saturday.
Sunday will feature the approach of another storm system, which can add to the rain totals for the beginning of the new week. Accompanying this system, warmer morning lows (60s) and highs approaching 80 degrees. Rain coverage to end the weekend will be around 30%.
