MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- Today will be similar to what we saw across the region on Wednesday, with plenty of sun, and clouds building throughout the afternoon. High pressure to out north will still be in control, allowing north winds to limit the potential of rain in the area, though not entirely as low pressure off the Carolinas can still promote some moisture to move in from the northeast. Highs on Thursday afternoon are expected to reach the lower 90s with partly cloudy skies. Rain coverage will be limited, only around 20% for all of the Big Bend and South Georgia. Moving into Thursday night, lows are forecast to be in the low to mid 70s.
As we move into Friday, the forecast is similar, with the expectation of slightly more rain but highs in the afternoon are still expected to reach the lower 90s.
By the weekend, we may see more of a moisture infuence from a cold front out west, and that can help provide the spark for rain across the local area.
