Dry, cool and breezy conditions will encompass our region today. A secondary dry cold front will move the area and reinforce some cooler air helping to keep our high temp today at 63 and below average. This will also make for a cold Saturday morning. Some morning lows may be in the low to mid 30’s. Mostly sunny skies will stay with us for Thursday and Friday as high pressure slides to the east and off into the Atlantic. This will cause a shift in our winds giving us a more southwesterly flow, which will help bump up our temps on Saturday. Our next chance for rain will be Saturday afternoon as a system moves in from the SW, as moisture lifts from the gulf we could see some heavy showers here across the Big Bend region; a few thunderstorms are possible too. Rain stays with us on Sunday morning and slowly clears in the afternoon to partly sunny skies. By Monday, and for the next few days after that, we will have plenty of sunshine, dry conditions and more seasonable temps in the mid 60’s.
Happy Thursday!
