TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - The front is moving through and temps are going to be plummeting on the back end of it. Highs will be comfortably cool in the mid to upper 60s for the Big Bend while folks near the I-75 corridor will see one last day in the 70s. A few lucky folks may get in on some rainfall this afternoon, but it'll only be about a 20% coverage, mainly impacting our north and western counties. I say "lucky" considering that we're in a persistent drought pattern in which the last two months have been abnormally dry, so any rainfall is a good thing at this point. As we continue to tap into that cool air, winds will blow out of the northwest tonight at 10-20 mph overnight with lows bottoming out near 40°. Highs on Friday will only get into the upper 50s area-wide and it'll be pretty blustery with gusts up to 25 mph. A freeze watch is in effect for Saturday morning as temps will flirt with the freezing mark. Expect mid 60s with plenty of sunshine by Saturday afternoon. Lows by Sunday morning will be milder in the mid 40s while highs rebound in the low 70s as another front moves closer to the region along the Gulf coast actually bringing a pretty good threat of rain by Monday morning. Highs in the rain-cooled atmosphere will be cool in the upper 60s. Expect about a half of inch of rain widespread. On the back end of that front, we cool off once again with highs struggling to get into the upper 50s and lows by Wednesday morning will plummet to the freezing mark.
