TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - Another pleasant day ahead. Temps starting off mild in the low 50s and will increase to near 70° for a high. So it won't be as warm as midweek, but still well above average for late January standards. Clouds will be on the increase heading throughout the afternoon which will limit the temps from soaring off the charts. With the clouds come some hefty showers and storms for Friday. Right now it looks that a couple of the morning storms could be on the strong side, with straight-line wind damage being the main threat. Over an inch of rain can come down starting after 2 am tonight and lasting until after sunset Friday. Temps will be moderated because of the shower activity in the 60s throughout the day. On the back end of this system that sweeps through, we could see a few isolated showers early Saturday morning before the system completely clears out. It'll be a cool one with temps in the 50s throughout the day. High pressure builds in and that will clear the skies and drop temps into the mid to upper 30s by Sunday morning. Near seasonal conditions in the afternoon with numbers in the low 60s. Early next week looks overall cool with highs in the low to mid 60s and lows in the 30s.
