Storm Team Thursday Morning Forecast (5/15/14)

Posted

The heaviest of the rain is to our east and will continue to pull towards the north-northeast. Flash flood watches are still in effect for some counties in southeast Georgia and our counties in southeast Florida. These flash flood watches should expire by 2 pm this afternoon, if not before. The actual cold front itself will be moving through later today. We will clear out from west to east, and the breeze will also kick up a tad across the region. Heading into tonight, prepare for it to feel a bit cool around here. Temperatures will drop to the upper 40’s/low 50’s as skies become more clear. We’ll have sunshine on Friday with a high of 81. The weekend looks dry, sunny and nice with a warming trend bringing our highs back to the mid 80’s. We will kick off Monday of next week with mostly sunny skies and highs back in the upper 80’s. This trend will stay with us through Wednesday, and by then high temps may reach the low 90’s.

Stay dry and safe! Happy Thursday!
