Enjoy the dry and mild conditions of today, the dry spell will quickly come to an end tonight! Today will be partly cloudy, with a stray shower this afternoon and a high temp of 73. A low developing in the Gulf of Mexico will move onshore late tonight bringing very heavy rainfall to the area. The threat for severe weather is low on Friday, but due to most of our rivers already being at flood stage, the threat for additional flooding is a big concern. Most places may receive 3+” with some isolated amounts looking at 3-6”. With that in mind, a “Flood Watch” has been issued for our area for 2 AM Friday morning through 2 AM Saturday morning. This will be an all day rain event and will prevent us from getting too warm. High temps will only reach 70 degrees. Flash flood watches or warnings may be issued throughout the day on Friday. Showers will let up in the evening. Rain will still most likely be going on Saturday morning, and then we should dry out by the afternoon, with a high of 75. Easter Sunday, still looks dry and nice with partly cloudy skies and a high of 79. Monday will be mostly sunny, warm and nice with a high temp of 82. Showers and possible thunderstorms return on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Happy Thursday!
