Storm Team Thursday morning forecast (3/21/2013)

Clouds will filter out quite a bit of sun today leaving temperatures cooler than average, only in the mid 60s. The cool afternoon today sets the stage for another chilly night; we'll be near 39° Friday morning. Friday afternoon we stick with a good mix of clouds and sun and perhaps a couple showers but your rain chance is low. Meanwhile, temperatures start to rebound a bit with a south wind late in the day pushing us near 70°. The weekend still looks to be rainy and warm. Early timing starts with a few scattered showers Saturday morning with rain becoming more widespread and heavy in the afternoon. There's a chance at a few severe storms as well but right now is too early to nail down specifics. The rain will likely last through Sunday morning with gradual clearing Sunday night into Monday. On average we're looking at totals between 1 and 3 inches with locally higher amounts; that could lead to flooding issues. Behind all the rain is some cool air and it sticks around for a while. Much of next week will be sunny but highs will struggle to get close to 70° with lows flirting with the mid 30s.
