Storm Team Thursday morning forecast (08/14/2014)

TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - Expect the active pattern to continue. A stalled out frontal system draped right over the area will slowly drift to the south and east as the next couple days progress allowing for some dry air to mix in to the region, especially for our north and western counties.  Because of this, rain chances will be sparse for the tri-state region today, but Tallahassee and points eastward will still experience the unsettled pattern we've seen the last several days in the way of on and off showers and storms throughout the day.  This will especially influence the Suwannee River Valley area once again. Temps will vary greatly if you see ample rainfall or not.  If you're in the tri-state with a general clearing trend, expect temps to easily get into the mid, even some upper 90s.  If you get socked in with the rainfall, upper 80s can be a more likely afternoon high.  In Tallahassee specifically, I expect conditions to get into the low to mid 90s.  Tonight, we all even out down to the low to mid 70s with some patchy fog possible especially for our south and eastern counties that'll hold onto some leftover moisture today's rainfall. Friday, much of the same can be expected with a drying trend the farther north and west you go.  Temps still uncomfortable in the mid 90s once again.  Saturday looks like the driest day in the forecast period with about a 30% chance of showers, mainly along the coastline and into the Suwannee River Valley once again.  By Saturday, the stalled out front transitions into a warm front and will advance northward from the Gulf and bump up our rain chances for the end of the weekend and early portions of next work week.  Temps stay muggy in the mid 90s with lows bumping back into the mid 70s.
