MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
A cold front has moved through most of the region, but the afternoon temperatures have not responded to it quite yet. Scattered thunderstorms are present along the Interstate 75 zones of our local Florida and Georgia counties, with a slight movement of these areas of rain to the west. Nighttime showers and isolated thunder will be possible in central locations such as the Capital City, but in general should diminish through the early morning hours. A broad upper disturbance will promote lingering cloudiness and a chance for light showers or drizzle from time to time Friday through the weekend as temperatures drop considerably. Lows will be in the mid 60s inland to near 70° at the coast, but readings will struggle to climb back into the 70s with limited sun and a north wind flow. The upper low remains in place through Sunday, so excess cloud cover and spritzes of showers and drizzle may occur as temps stay noticeably cooler than seasonable averages.
