MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Isolated thunderstorms are possible near the seabreeze front near the Big Bend coast, and a few small cells moving northeast into the tri-state region. The number of storms will remain very low, but the chance for locally heavy rain and some lightning exists. Storm activity for the next couple of days will be suppressed even further by a ridge of high pressure aloft scooting westward over the Florida peninsula. The local westerly wind flow will remain, which will limit the seabreeze and promote higher daytime temperatures. Highs will approach 100° in some inland locations Friday and Saturday, with nighttime lows reaching the mid 70s. A few more storms are possible north of the state line by Sunday, then early next week, as the high-pressure systems weaken and shift, a better set-up for scattered afternoon thunderstorms will return.
