MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

We are seeing a focus of afternoon rain and thunderstorms along the coastal bend, with some inland intrusion of the seabreeze and wind boundaries from present thunderstorms.  The Interstate 10 corridor may be impacted by additional spots of showers and thunder through the early evening.  Inland in south Georgia, scattered developing showers and storms will attempt to shift southward through the nighttime hours.  A slim chance for isolated stronger storms exists.  Clouds will linger overnight as lows drop to the mid 70s again.  Abundant Gulf moisture, a disturbance to the south, plus a slowing cold front in the Deep South will combine to produce more clouds and a little less sun Friday, along with greater rain coverage reaching about 60% of the area.  Highs are forecast to be slightly lower than previous afternoon, mainly in the low 90s.  An unsettled pattern stays around this weekend with periods of overcast and developing areas of rain and some storms.
