MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Numerous showers and storms have swiftly moved to the northeast, covering many inland areas with periods of steady rain. Scattered showers and storms linger near the coast and in the Suwannee Valley, where evening thunderstorms may flare near and east of Interstate 75. These areas of activity will weaken by midnight, leaving areas of clouds. Lows will be in the low to mid 70s. Another round of developing showers and storms is likely by Friday midday, with locally heavy rain possible. Highs will range from the mid 80s to around 90°. The departing disturbance will lower the rain risk for Saturday, then for the rest of the Independence Day weekend, late-day and evening scattered thunderstorms will be possible, with a few reaching strong levels.
