MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
The long-anticipated cold front has moved through the western 3/4ths of the area, lingering this evening in the Suwannee Valley, and spotty showers and storms are situated southeast of that boundary. That means drier air has already arrived in many locations here, and it will have a huge impact on triggering a rapid temperature decline after sunset. Warm readings near 90° this afternoon will drop to the low and mid 60s by dawn Friday. Full sunshine will be seen in many cases tomorrow, with a few exceptions in the southeast Big Bend where the front may linger. Isolated showers are possible there, but only a slim amount of impact. Otherwise, mild, dry, more comfortable conditions are foreseen with highs only reaching the mid 80s. Saturday morning will be the coolest since last May, with lows away from the coast reaching the 50s. Highs will be near or slightly above average Saturday with more sun, then moisture returns by Sunday with minimal rain risk for some.
