MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
The low-pressure system has move far enough to the west to allow some return of a typical daytime rain and thunder cycle to the region. Evening shower coverage is spotty to isolated, but locally heavy but brief downpours are possible in the Flint River region and near Interstate 75. Clouds will further break later tonight, with areas of clear sky overnight. Lows will reach the mid to lower 70s. Friday's sky will feature a mix of sun and clouds with the development of scattered afternoon showers and storms, showing mainly a north or northwest movement and covering about 40% of the landscape throughout the day. Highs will be in the low to mid 90s, except upper 80s at the beaches. The weekend will still have a few areas of showers and storms in the afternoons, but modest high pressure will limit the overall extent of rain and thunder coverage.
