MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Dry air has been effective in keeping abundant sunshine around the area, supporting near-average warmth, and wiping away most rain chances. Scattered clouds in some area will dissipate by later tonight, leaving most areas with a clear sky. Low temps will range from near 70° in interior south Georgia to the mid 70s along the shore. The impacts of the dry air mass and the associated high pressure over the mid-Atlantic will maintain minimal rain opportunities Friday and into the beginning of the weekend. Highs tomorrow will reach the low to mid 90s, and again on Saturday. Moisture ramps up on Sunday, leading to the return of scattered afternoon thunderstorms. A tropical low will likely impact southern Florida over the weekend, and may possibly move into the eastern Gulf. Possible local impacts are still unclear, but it is a situation that bears close monitoring.
