Steady light rain will stretch into the evening. Overall rain accumulations have been less than a quarter inch, and perhaps another few tenths can be added to current tallies before the showers taper off early in the morning. A noticeable clearing trend will occur before sunrise, leading to a mainly sunny afternoon for the region. Temperatures will be stable in the 40s this evening, falling to the upper 30s just before dawn, then rising back through the 50s to near 60° by afternoon. Saturday will be primarily sunny until late afternoon, as the swift upper flow produces another batch of scattered cloudiness by Sunday with only a slim chance for isolated showers.
