Storm Team Thursday evening forecast (08/27/2015)

Posted

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Another comfortable and dry day was experienced for Thursday for most of the viewing area as drier winds from the north kept a cap on dew points from rising to uncomfortable levels. This calm spell will change coming into the weekend as the front responsible for the comfy feel pushes east away from us and humid winds from the south return. Storm coverage will rise, but daytime highs will likely not change by much (though increased humidity will make it feel hotter). Overnight lows into Friday morning are forecast to be in the upper 60s to lower 70s with afternoon highs expected to range in the lower to mid 90s. Rain coverage will be around 30% Friday and is forecast to increase to 40% through the weekend as low level moisture continues to increase. With Erika's track, depending on where it moves over the next few days, rain coverage may be much higher or much lower.
