MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Above-average temperatures are forecast to stretch into the next several days, with areas of high pressure preventing the approach of any cold fronts or colder air masses. A light wind overnight should prevent widespread dense fog, but a few patches can't be ruled out before and around sunrise. Lows will be in the low to mid 60s with noticeable humidity. We'll soar back into the lower 90s away from the coast Friday afternoon with a sun-and-cloud mix. The weekend will remain rain-free with hot conditions in the afternoon. A stronger cold front will dislodge the high-pressure systems and allow for an increase in rain and thunderstorm chances before pushing temperatures lower by Tuesday. A tropical disturbance north of Puerto Rico has better potential to become a tropical depression, but the system will likely remain over open Atlantic waters.
