MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
We will have a couple more opportunities to wear long-sleeve shirts and sweaters in the next two mornings, and still maintain a reasonable comfort level. A surge in the upper-level flow is allowing a cold-air source to dip far to the south, and north winds on the edge of an approaching high-pressure system is helping to carry that air into the region. That's why we'll experience falling temperatures after sunset with decreasing breezes, and lows that will reach the upper 40s to low 50s just before dawn. The stronger sunshine will not be interrupted by too many clouds Friday, which will support highs reaching the mid 70s to lower 80s, but falling a few degrees short of average. Saturday morning will also be cool, but that's it; west winds and continued sunshine will modify the air mass, returning mid and upper 80s to thermometers by Sunday, and a stretch of hot days thereafter. Rain chances are non-existent this week, and increasing only slightly into next week.
