MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The low pressure system east of Florida along a slow moving frontal boundary will start to move northwest Thursday night into Friday afternoon/evening. The winds along the low, will steer plentiful moisture toward the Carolina coasts and portions of the Mid-Atlantic. Meanwhile, locally, rainfall will be limited because of the fact that drier winds off the north will filter in. Cloudy conditions should still prevail, as we'll still be near the low, but general clearing should occur Friday evening.

Overnight lows Thursday night into Friday morning will likely range in the mid 60s to lower 70s with mostly cloudy skies. Rain coverage is low, but possible (just below 20%). Friday afternoon highs will range in the lower to mid 80s. Now depending on how long the shield of clouds from the low sticks around, northern counties (mainly in South Georgia) may struggle once again to see highs much higher than 80 degrees. Rain coverage will be around 20% or less.

Saturday morning lows may feature numbers in the mid 60s and afternoon highs will likely range in the mid to upper 80s with rain coverage at 30%. As we advance through the weekend, the moisture content will return, giving rain coverage a steady increase through midweek. A tropical wave from the Caribbean will likely start to drift to the north toward our area. That will really help to increase the rainfall possibilities by early next week.
