MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

The intense afternoon heat and a modest seazbreee have triggered the spotty showers and storms once again this afternoon, with the areas of rain that have formed showing a tendency to move slowly to the south or southeast.  Locally heavy rain is possible through mid-evening, with only an outside chance for a rogue strong thunderstorm.  Heat will be slow to back off late tonight, outside of rainy areas, with lows falling to around the middle 70s.  Enough moisture with another round of above-average temperatures and the coastal seabreeze should be enough to cause scattered rain and thunder again Friday afternoon, with highs in the mid to upper 90s away from the beaches.  Over the weekend, daily showers and storms will remain in the pattern, with a chance for increased rain activity early next week as a modest disturbance enters the Southeast.  Atlantic tropical features are non-threatening and no developing systems are forecast in the next couple of days.
