MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
A spot of drier air over northeast Florida is having an effect on the thunderstorm cycle late today by keeping the bulk of development along and west of the Apalachicola River. Isolated showers or a brief storm is possible with the presence of the seabreeze flow in the central Big Bend, but less moisture around will mean a less-than-likely chance to encounter active weather this evening. The drier air and clearer sky overnight will allow temperatures to fall into the 60s for lows. Sun with mix with afternoon clouds Friday, and rain chances will be extremely low as highs reach the lower 90s. The dry spell is temporary; moisture works back into the area over the weekend, and a disturbance over the Mississippi River valley early next week may contribute to a more-widespread rainy pattern.
