TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - The clear and cool conditions persist through your Christmas night. High pressure building overhead and winds going calm are a combination that will bring in cool weather. Lows will be in the low to mid 30s across the board with rural spots getting in on some frost as well. The high moves off the coast rather quickly tomorrow allowing for winds to turn off the First Coastline usher in a little more moisture. That should aid in temps returning to seasonable levels in the mid 60s by the afternoon under mostly sunny skies. Lows into Saturday morning will be more comfortable in the mid to upper 40s. Highs by the afternoon will be near 70° with our western counties seeing a few afternoon showers. This is the advancement of our next frontal system which will stay relatively close by through the beginning of the New Year. It'll push to the east rather slowly so rain chances will still remain low on Sunday but by Monday and Tuesday expect some scattered showers. By New Years Eve, expect a few isolated showers, but for the most part we should be in the clear. Temps Sunday and beyond will be warm in the mid 70s for highs til New Years Eve where we'll see temps back off only getting into the mid and upper 60s. As we slowly see cooler air filter in on the back side of this system.
