MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Today's increase in sunshine has supported milder afternoon temps, and Friday will maintain some semblance of warmth. But, with a developing low-pressure system in the northern Gulf Friday, clouds will overtake the sky, and showers and steady rain will follow by late-afternoon through Saturday morning. No severe weather is forecast, but it may be damp to kick off the weekend. Lows tonight will reach the upper 40s to lower 50s, then highs climb toward 70° in north Florida, but the earlier onset of clouds may cap South Georgia highs in the 60s. Stronger and colder northeast and north winds will create a raw Saturday with lingering clouds and highs in the 40s. Arctic air in the Southeast will promote freezing temperatures Sunday and Monday mornings with highs about 10 degrees below average.
