MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
The presence of the cold front has kept cloudiness and occasional showers in place for most of the day. Some late clearing is underway around the tri-state region, and this trend will progress eastward gradually through the late-night hours. Showers will linger for some southeastern Big Bend areas, but the rain chances will continue to dwindle as we head into Friday. Fuller amounts of sunshine and a slight morning cool-down are in the picture, with lows tonight in the low 50s tri-state to near 60° in the middle Suwannee River valley. Highs will climb back into the 70s Friday afternoon. Over the weekend, a weaker cold front will enter the area; a period of cloud cover and showers will impact us late Saturday through the first half of Sunday, but severe weather is not expected. However, a drastic drop in temperatures is projected, with highs near 60° Sunday and Monday. Morning lows early next week may fall into the 30s for interior locations.
