MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
High pressure’s gradual departure is a little more noticeable today, with a scattering of clouds amid ample sunshine this afternoon. Clouds will partially thin out later this evening, but it’s possible a few areas of clouds will still be present overnight, along with chances for patchy fog around sunrise. Lows will remain mild in the middle 60s. A decrease in sunshine is forecast for Friday, as a cold front nears the Mississippi River region; areas of rain and storms will cast a veil of clouds over the region, but at least some sunlight will break through, and rain chances will be isolated at most. As a result, some eastern areas (I-75 zone) may peak around 90° in the afternoon, with mid to upper 80s along the Apalachicola and Chattahoochee rivers. The weekend will feature periodic cloudiness and a better chance for a few showers or thunderstorms.
