MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Stubborn clouds are finally breaking, mainly from the tri-state region eastward to the I-75 corridor, through the rest of the evening as drier air penetrates through all layers of the atmosphere. This will lead to a clearer sky overnight with light northeast and east winds, and lows below average in the low to mid 60s. More sunshine with stray clouds should be expected for the close of the work week Friday, as temperatures rise to around 90°. Moisture levels will still be suppressed, so it won't be as muggy as a typical June day. However, moisture lurks over the Florida peninsula and it is set to return as southeast winds set up by Saturday. Rain development will be confined to the southeast Big Bend Saturday afternoon, but returning to scattered variety afternoon showers and storms by Sunday. Additional rain activity appears likely next week.
