MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
An onshore flow is pushing toward the state line, creating scattered cloudiness and a zone of spotty and scattered rain and thunder development through mid-evening. Areas in the Suwannee River Valley have already experienced extra clouds and rain, so most newly formed action will occur in locations west of I-75. However, overall coverage shouldn't exceed 40% of the viewing area. Some leftover clouds will be present, with breaks of clearer sky late tonight, as lows fall back into the mid to low 70s. Minimal change in the pattern is forecast for Friday, with a returning pattern of afternoon shower and thunder formation after several hours of heating. Highs will break into the low to mid 90s with isolated cases of heavy rain and gusty winds associated with any stronger storms. A considerable force of high pressure will start to migrate through and north of the region, which may help in lowering the coverage of daytime storms through early next week.
