MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

Another round of scattered rain and storms is underway, and, with a light wind flow overall, there's slow, limited movement with current activity.  The local wind gusts that these storms can produce may be capable of clashing with other wind boundaries, sustaining the scattered nature of storms and brief downpurs in the Big Bend region through mid-evening.  Rain activity in south Georgia will be generally isolated.  The sky will clear early Friday morning and lows will reach the mid and low 70s.  Upper-level high pressure is forecast to take a tighter hold over the region this weekend, suppressing the afternoon thunderstorm cycle and lowering potential rain coverage.  About 30% of us will get in on showers and storms tomorrow, with highs in the low to mid 90s.  The weekend also appears hotter than average with scarce thunderstorm coverage.  A cold front may trigger better rain chances in the area by next Tuesday.
