MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
The thick cloud deck will be slow to break overnight, but, with some of the drier air poised to enter the region along with the cold air tonight, we'll experience increasing sunshine for most of Friday. Despite that, the colder northerly wind flow will limit the rate of warming, keeping highs primarily in the 50s to around 60°. Less wind Saturday morning will allow cooling toward the freezing point before temperatures recover to the 60s. The next Arctic cold front will begin its approach Monday, but not before tapping into additional Gulf moisture which will generate better rain chances for early next week. Extended temp trends lean toward another round of freezing mornings by the middle of next week.
A Freeze Watch for interior western counties will be in effect Saturday morning. This sometimes precedes a Freeze Warning for the same time period. If warnings are deemed necessary, they would be issued by the Naitonal Weather Service tomorrow.
